This is a very quick info drop about the special edition print book I’ll be releasing later this year of all the David & Murdo books with specially commissioned art by Irene Kim-Ahiska (see sneak peek below).
The info below will be confirmed in my next newsletter (far and away the main way I communicate with readers now). However, I decided also to share it here and in my Facebook group since some people don’t get round to opening newsletters, or may find that these land in spam folders rather inboxes (and FYI, I ruthlessly weed my audience – I remove subscribers who haven’t opened the last 5 newsletters sent to them).
In short, this is my far-from-perfect attempt to share this info a bit more widely!
So – in my last newsletter, I asked for expressions of interest for the “Premium Package” I was planning to offer of the special edition, consisting of a signed version of the hardback, a set of high quality art prints of all 5 art pieces created by Irene, the ebook anthology, the audiobook anthology and some personal little extras. My plan was only to offer a limited number of this Premium Package as I’m going to have to buy the stock and physically ship it myself and tbh, I have very limited tolerance for that. (FYI, there will be other options available delivered from the POD supplier, just not signed and shipped by me 😊).
As it happens, I got quite a lot more expressions of interest for the Premium Package than the max number I had in my head. While I’m sure not every expression of interest will turn into an actual order, this list is more than enough for me. In view of this, I’ll be creating a separate newsletter list of these readers only and will be sending them exclusive updates on the Premium Package.
As I said above, the Premium Package won’t be the only option. There will also be hardback and paperback options (delivered by the printer, unsigned) as well as art print packages and ebook and audiobook anthologies with the new cover art (and for the ebook, one of the interior art pieces). Since the art prints will also have to be shipped by me, I will also send a signed bookplate with the prints, if wanted. I’m very much hoping there will something that suits everyone who wants to be part of this project, and enjoy Irene’s amazing art ❤

I’m very serious about the premium package, Joanna. This series and these characters are my favourites. A fabulous opportunity. One of my granddaughters loves the series as much as I do so one day this will be hers.
