I’ve been talking about this labour-of-love project for a loooong time so I’m glad to have finally opened my store to orders.
This is a special edition print anthology of all the David and Murdo books (Provoked, Beguiled, Enlightened and the two bonus stories, Seasons Pass and The Bequest). I’ve never offered these books as an anthology before and this edition features five beautiful art works by the wonderful Irene Kim-Ahiska: new cover art and four interior illustrations. The interior prints are below – you may recognise these key scenes from the three main books and the epilogue story 😊
Those of you who get my newsletter will know that I’m offering a number of options to buy to try to ensure there’s something for everyone: physical books (hardback and paperback), art prints, bookplates and extras, and ebook and audiobook anthologies with the new cover art.
My original plan was to have the book orders fulfilled by the print on demand (POD) company to save me physically shipping them myself. In short, that hasn’t worked out. There were integration problems with my online store, and ultimately, I need to have confidence that if my readers place orders they will get them without a hitch. So, I pivoted and there are now two ways of getting a special edition print book:
- I am ordering and shipping book stock myself (paperbacks and hardbacks) with colour interior illustrations; and
- I have also put a black and white version of the book up on Amazon which will probably have lower shipping costs for most people. To be clear, this version has black & white interior illustrations and a colour cover: Amazon version.
For the orders I ship myself, please note I will be placing small batch orders and will take back orders in my store. Please note that if I’m waiting for stock, it may take me a few weeks to send your order. The product pages will give information as to estimated stock delivery dates.

The cover art (1) is a perfect representation of the dynamic between David and Murdo. Do you recognise the other scenes? They are from (2) Provoked (3) Beguiled (4) Enlightened and (5) The Bequest.
The books
The hardback has a black clothbound interior, matt dust jacket with gold foiling and printed endpapers featuring larger versions of two of the artworks. The paperback has a matt cover (no foiling). In both versions the interior illustrations are colour. As noted above, there will be also be an Amazon version available with B&W interior illustrations.
