Ermagerd I think I have finally lost it… I intended to write last night but after a tough RL work week topped off with Brexit shenanigans, all I was fit for was making this dorky nonsense:
And yes, it’s true what the heroes of my new book, Mr. Winterbourne’s Christmas say! In celebration of its release tomorrow (*squee*), I AM giving away prizes! Comment for a chance to win:
1st prize: a copy of Mr. Winterbourne’s Christmas AND a personal giftbag containing your choice of signed hard copy book* (open to all, wherever you may be in the world)
2nd prize: a copy of Mr. Winterbourne’s Christmas
- choices: Provoked, Beguiled, Enlightened, Unnatural (old edition), Enemies Like You, The Dream Alchemist (old edition), Unforgivable (old edition)
I’ve just finished Introducing Mr Winterbourne, and it was just lovely, I’m so pleased that I get to read the Christmas one tomorrow x
I am, as you know, a great lover of classic Regency romance and this has lots of elements 🙂
Congrats on the upcoming release! I just can’t wait to read the continuing of Winterbourne’s story!!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy!
From one dork to another: hi5! Lol
The funniest: this “modern” depiction of Adam and Lysander is spot on. Thank you for sharing.
Any attempt to escape the craziness is welcome, especially with original art. 😉 😀 <3
*hi5*
honestly, you have NO idea low long it took me to get that cravat and coat on ‘Lysander’!
Yay! Looking forward to reading more about these two. <3
😘😘😘
Adam’s in bed
Lysander’s there too.
I think I’m in love
with the both of you ❤️❤️
lol, love it! 😘
Glad you liked. Who is the actor you’ve used as Lysander, I sort of recognise, but can’t put a name to the face.
It’s cary elwes from The Princess Bride… 😉
The Dog’s Bollocks, huh? Not sure if that’s good or bad. 😉
Congrats on the release. Looking forward to reading it.
Definitely good! Like the cat’s pyjamas only better 😉
Congratulations on the new book. Loved all the rest.
Aw thanks!
THIs looks like fun! I miss trying to save the all the Christmas stories for December, but my resolve is weakening…🎄
OMG, I know exactly how you feel. I swore I wouldn’t eat ANY mince pies this year till December but my mum brought round some mini ones today and I succumbed… and there are a LOT of goodlooking xmas stories this year…
Will I ever be able to unsee the “dorky nonsense” of Adam saying “woof woof”? …..I’m sure a new story would go a long way to helping with that! 🙂
WOOF WOOF!
I think he has a secret silly side… 😀
Once seen, it cannot be unseen. I shall have many a dream of Adam barking at Lysander.
haha! I could happily watch Richard Armitage barking any day of the week…
Anything that makes me smile is a gift I’m treasuring so thank you for the dorky nonsense! And for the generosity! I have MWC preordered, so I’m looking forward to more smiles.
Aw thanks – that made me smile back! I love dorky silliness 😘
I love this time of year when I can read all the Christmas stories…. SO looking forward to reading this one!
Aw thanks! <3
Congratulations, Joanna. I’ve really missed your stories. I’ve read your books so many times I am able to recite whole paragraphs (though not as well as Hamish Mckinlay… I love his performaces…
Thanks Susana! I hope the next one comes out sooner… <3 <3 <3
You and me both, Susana! I think perhaps Hamish McKinlay is also the dog’s bollocks. 🙂
He’s a find, all right 🙂
I can’t wait to read this, I know I’m going to love it!
I hope you do! <3
Congratulations on your new release! I have yet to meet Mr. Winterbourne but I have his story on my Kindle already and I’m looking forward to reading it.
Thanks! hope you enjoy, Ellie! <3
My pre-order is downloading right now. Happy release day!
Thank you!
I am dizzy with excitement! I just bought MWC and cannot wait for work to end so I can run home, put my jammies on, and read & sigh to my heart’s delight!
Oh, yes, jammies! I do hope you enjoy <3
Congratulations on the new release. I love all of your stories – and the narrator of the audio books is brilliant!
Thank you, Roz, and yes Hamish is wonderful. <3
Haha. Love this! So happy to have a new Joanna Chambers book to read. 🙂
Bless yer, Adrian 😉
I’ve been saving Winterbourne for my early Christmas, 4 hour train journey ‘oop north’ to visit my little Loves. It’s this week – so much to look forward to, a gorgeous JC AND a hug from my best boys! Oh… and free coffee as I managed to get a first class ticket for peanuts. Happy Christmas, Joanna, and may your inspiration and gorgeous books never dry up x
Thank you, Wendy! Enjoy your trip. And fill up on free coffee! <3
I just DEVOURED Mr Winterbourne’s Christmas, and it’s utterly marvellous! Thank you for giving us more of Adam and Lysander…will we hear about Jonny and Perry perchance…? Just a tantalising thought! 😉 Your writing is fantastic, and I just want to say you’re incredibly talented, and I’m so pleased to be able to read your work.
Thank you so much, that means a lot <3 <3
Aaaa, exciting news! I can’t wait to read this and I’m also eager for that historical werewolf story because please, yes, more supernatural historical romances are welcome. I hope the year ends well and that politics get less terrible by then, maybe. Hopefully. Somehow.
I am *very* excited about my wolves…
Thank you! 😀
Dorks and nerds are IN. How else could The Big Bang Theory be the number one TV comedy since it’s 3rd season (I believe) thru it’s 12th (this year)? (That is to say, other than the brilliant acting by Jim Parsons, who I think is a God…)
In any case, I prefer your style as an artist than that found in Shakespeare’s Hamlet: O the world is but a word; were it all yours to give in a breath, how quickly were it gone!
I so enjoyed the Enlightenment series, and would love to add Mr. Winterbourne’s Christmas to my reading list!!
Thanks for the op!
(I always, but always enjoy reading about MM sexytimes!!) 😉😘
I’ve just finished both the Winterbourne stories, and while I found them very delightful, when it came to the ending of the second one, I have to say, I felt you dropped the ball. A double lavender wedding would have solved several problems — unless, of course, you plan a sequel. . .? Please may we have some more?
(I apologize for keeping this on your website, Joanna. I won’t keep this going after this response.) WOL, If you don’t enjoy something about a story, save it for a review. It’s completely rude to come here and give a criticism directly to the author, especially on a post where she’s being celebratory and generous. Authors write the books they want to and can’t change what they did just because readers want something different. You could’ve asked for a sequel in a much nicer way.
