Ermagerd I think I have finally lost it… I intended to write last night but after a tough RL work week topped off with Brexit shenanigans, all I was fit for was making this dorky nonsense:

    1. OMG, I know exactly how you feel. I swore I wouldn’t eat ANY mince pies this year till December but my mum brought round some mini ones today and I succumbed… and there are a LOT of goodlooking xmas stories this year…

  20. I’ve been saving Winterbourne for my early Christmas, 4 hour train journey ‘oop north’ to visit my little Loves. It’s this week – so much to look forward to, a gorgeous JC AND a hug from my best boys! Oh… and free coffee as I managed to get a first class ticket for peanuts. Happy Christmas, Joanna, and may your inspiration and gorgeous books never dry up x

  21. I just DEVOURED Mr Winterbourne’s Christmas, and it’s utterly marvellous! Thank you for giving us more of Adam and Lysander…will we hear about Jonny and Perry perchance…?   22. Aaaa, exciting news! I can’t wait to read this and I’m also eager for that historical werewolf story because please, yes, more supernatural historical romances are welcome. I hope the year ends well and that politics get less terrible by then, maybe. Hopefully. Somehow.

  23. Dorks and nerds are IN. How else could The Big Bang Theory be the number one TV comedy since it’s 3rd season (I believe) thru it’s 12th (this year)? (That is to say, other than the brilliant acting by Jim Parsons, who I think is a God…)

    In any case, I prefer your style as an artist than that found in Shakespeare’s Hamlet: O the world is but a word; were it all yours to give in a breath, how quickly were it gone!

    I so enjoyed the Enlightenment series, and would love to add Mr. Winterbourne’s Christmas to my reading list!!

  24. I’ve just finished both the Winterbourne stories, and while I found them very delightful, when it came to the ending of the second one, I have to say, I felt you dropped the ball. A double lavender wedding would have solved several problems — unless, of course, you plan a sequel. . .? Please may we have some more?

    1. (I apologize for keeping this on your website, Joanna. I won’t keep this going after this response.) WOL, If you don’t enjoy something about a story, save it for a review. It’s completely rude to come here and give a criticism directly to the author, especially on a post where she’s being celebratory and generous. Authors write the books they want to and can’t change what they did just because readers want something different. You could’ve asked for a sequel in a much nicer way.
