So, my friends, in celebration of the release of my Christmas story, Humbug, I will be giving away THREE copies of Humbug or (if you already have it) last year’s festive story Rest And Be Thankful, your choice.
To enter, just leave a comment telling me who your favourite character in a Christmas story is, whether book, movie or other.
Good luck!
It’s Steve Adams in Z.A. Maxfield’s “I Heard Him Exclaim”. Never met a cuter Santa 😀
Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas – love that film!!
I adore Clark Griswold from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation all he wants is for his family to enjoy Christmas together and as usual it’s all mayhem plus a young Johnny Galecki stars as Rusty gotta love that
Jingle and Jangle from The Year Without a Santa Claus
Scrooge, hands down. Then Winter in The Dickens with Love by Josh Lanyon
James Stewart. It’s a Wonderful Life.
My favourite Christmas story is The Nightmare Before Christmas… Andy character in that film would do for me, though if I had to choose one, Jake Skellington would be the one.
Thank you for the giveaway. I’m really looking forward to reading Humbug 😉
Elizabeth (Barbara Stanwyck) in Christmas in Connecticut! “I’m tired of being pushed around. Tired of being told what to do. Tired of writing your gol-darned articles. Tired of dancing to everybody else’s tune. Tired of being told whom to marry. In short… I’m tired!” She never got enough credit for her comedic chops! lol
My favorite character from a book is Marcus from Heidi Cullinan’s Let It Snow book.
Well this is a little less specific, but I LOVE the Dr. Who Christmas specials every year. So I guess, the Doctor!
Andrea Speed wrote a fabulous little Christmas story featuring the characters from her ‘Infected’ series, which can be found on her blog – “Merry Christmas, Roan”. So my answer is Roan! 😀
Kit Jefferies in Grumble Monkey and the Department Store Elf by B. G. Thomas. His character just lights up like a Christmas tree. 🙂
Buddy the Elf 😉
Miracle on 34th Street is my favorite Christmas movie, so I guess the character has to be Kris Kringle. 🙂 Thanks for the chance. I’m looking forward to Humbug!
How exciting – I’ve not entered a give-away before, but I can’t resist yours! I think my current favourite character in a Christmas story might be Stephen Day in K.J. Charles’ Feast of Stephen – a whole different kind of magic of Christmas!
Don’t read a lot of christmas stories, but I absolutely love Rusty from Amy Lane’s Christmas Kitsch :).
Okay, I’m totally not sucking up, but one of my favorite holiday stories from last year was Rest & Be Thankful, so I’m going to nominate Cam & Rob as my favorite holiday characters.
Oh, thank you!
Ben from RJ Scott’s Christmas Throwaway. I can’t remember his boyfriend’s name right now (of course), but I love them as a couple. I also love how much Ben wants to help.
Buddy the Elf. Will Ferrell was fab. 🙂
The Grinch is my favorite.
Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, he turned his life around
I love Bill Murray’s character, Frank Cross, in the movie Scrooged. I love that movie, it is hilarious!
Peter & Carver in Where you Lead by Mary Calmes. Warm & Fuzzy for Christmas
I love Colin Firth’s role in Love Actually. Some of his lines still make me laugh.
Fielding Monroe in Blame it on the Mistletoe by Eli Easton, I love the way he manages to be dorky, naive, devious and sexy all at the same time.
I love all these – keep ’em coming. I’m going to choose winners at 8pm GMT today
I think it is a tie between Noel Snow (that name alone 🙂 from Josh Lanyon’s Icecapade and Gavin Lowden from Winter Knights by Harper Fox.
(Oh, please don’t include me for the giveaway, because I have already bought and hugely enjoyed Humbug – and of cause your story from last year,, too.)
Scrooge is my favorite. I listen to the audiobook every year leading up to Christmas.
Buddy the Elf in all his sugary glory.
I love Bill Murray’s character in the movie Scrooged. Such a funny movie, and Bill Murray is a delight!!
I’m a little later than intended…. the winners picked by random.org by comment numbers are Sunne, Toni and Leni! Congratulations!
Yeah – thank you. I’ve mailed you back.
